Kent
Biography

Corita Kent (1918–1986) was a Los Angeles–based pop artist, educator, and former Catholic nun. At Immaculate Heart College, she turned ads, song lyrics, and scripture into vibrant serigraphs about justice, joy, and love. Leaving the order in 1968, she moved to Boston, creating public art and a famed U.S. Love stamp before her death in 1986.
